Where OpenRouter wins — honestly
For open-weights models (GLM, DeepSeek), OpenRouter's third-party hosts can list lower prices than the vendor — sometimes much lower. The trade-off is variance: quantization levels, uptime and throughput differ by host. If you want the cheapest possible GLM and don't mind variance, OpenRouter is a fine choice.
